Appointed to the Board as Contracts Director in 1980. James took the business, as Project Manager, to the Island of Lewis in 1986 and from there the company grew in turnover and staff from 30 people to 150 by 2001.
Since arriving in Inverness in 2001 James has led and established Joint Venture Partnerships and stand-alone ventures which have again taken the Company forward in size and recognition in all areas. He was appointed to the Board as Chief Executive in September 2004.

Appointed to the Board in September 2004. David is proprietor of Upland Developments, a property company based in Aviemore and with interests throughout Scotland.
He is on the board of a number of other companies and is involved in many joint venture partnerships.

Donald Joseph Peteranna shares the role of Chairman of the Board of UBC Group with David Cameron.
Donald began his workling life undertaking projects as a sole trader before founding Uist Builders (Construction) Ltd with his two brother James and Angus James in 1974

Appointed as Finance Director in December 2006, Steve is responsible for UBC Group’s finance, HR, IT, QMS, and administration functions.
Steve joined UBC from Stewart Milne Construction where he was FD for a number of years. Previous roles include board positions with other major construction companies including Morrison Construction Highland and treasurer for McDermott’s European operations.

Andrew's responsibilities include identifying and securing residential and commercial development opportunities for UBC throughout all its operational areas and ensuring their successful delivery.
Andrew is native to the Highlands and a qualified Chartered Valuation Surveyor. He started his career with surveying firm Graham & Sibbald before moving to the Highland Council’s property service department. Four years ago he left the Council and established Ryden’s successful Inverness office.

Alasdair works with senior management on new business opportunities. Appointed to the Board in October 2007. Alasdair, who is from North Uist, is the Marketing Director for the UBC Group. Between 1999 and 2007 he represented the Western Isles in the Scottish Parliament. For nine years prior to his career politics he worked for the BBC as a news and current affairs reporter.
