SHE Management System

UBC Holdings has a comprehensive and robust Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) management system. Within the Group we are proud to hold CHAS/UVDB Achilles, IIP accreditations and are members of Constructionline. UBC is committed to continuous improvement of our environmental performance, including prevention of pollution.

We have an enhanced, comprehensive and proactive approach , reflecting the continued growth of the company. UBC firmly believe that taking care of staff will help deliver an excellent service and a quality product for clients. This attention to detail, insistence on quality alongside safety, has recently been acknowledged in our accreditation to the internationally recognised BE EN ISO 9001: 2008

UBC recognises the importance of managing the earth's resources responsibly for the benefit or present and future generations. The company strives to comply with all relevant envirnonmental legislation and regulations at the planning, design and implementation of projects in consultation with our clients.

Quality, health and safety and environmental legislation require a focused and rigorous approach. As part of UBC's adherence to, and enthusiasm for, an in depth QHSE programme, we recognise the importance of both the individual and the team in ensuring compliance throughout the Group.

Training: 50% of our tradesmen were at one time our apprentices.

Our comprehensive training plan, approved by Construction Skills, has the support of the company and UBC is recognised as a major supporter of the Modern Apprenticeship System. We are proud that 50% of our tradesmen were at one time our apprentices. This commitment to company wide training has enabled us to develop a skilled workforce and become the employer of choice within our areas of operation.
