UBC Group Ltd (formerly Uist Builders (Construction) Limited) was established over 30 years ago in 
the Outer Hebrides. The Group has grown steadily to become one of the top companies in the north
of Scotland for quality, design and a business philosophy based on mutual target achievement with
the client.
 
Dynamic leadership and innovative working practices have enabled the UBC Group to successfully com
plete wide ranging contracts within the public, private and utility sectors in some of the most geograp
hically demanding locations in Scotland.

The UBC Group established a permanent presence in Inverness forging key, long term relations, within 
the private housing and commercial markets. The Group has consistently demonstrated a willingness to
work innovatively with individual clients and collaboratively in joint ventures. We have developed a wide 
skill-set in traditional, partnering, negotiated, design and build, framework and PFI projects across 
commercial, healthcare, education, public and private sectors.

Recently, the Group moved into the central belt of Scotland, building on existing relationships, and forg
ing new ones. We have strong partnerships with local authorities and housing associations, and are 
establishing ourselves as supply chain members on a number of framework agreements, undertaking
National Health Service and Ministry of Defence projects.

UBC Holdings
In order to facilitate growth, UBC Holdings have incorporated a number of associated companies.
Wyvis Roofing was established under the experienced leadership of Willie Sharp. His name is
synonymous with quality roofing and he's operated throughout the highlands for the past 30 years.

As northern Scotland's largest privately owned plumbing and heating company, the UBC Group
was delighted to incorporate the expertise of Urquhart & Co. to form Wyvis Building Services
(Plumbing & Heating Division).

The acquisition of Mardon Project Services Ltd completed a number of successful mergers for
the Group. Mardon recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, and with bases in Inverness and
Bathgate, they have earned an excellent reputation for delivering a quality service.
